Students will design and model the structural frame for a tiny house taking into acount space limitations. The activity starts with development of a floor plan using a 1/2 in. = 1 ft. scale. Using the provided templates, students will model the structure from balsa wood sticks. Detailed instructions include construction and architecture vocabulary as well as explanation for framing techniques. Studs are precut to size. Sill plates and beams must be measured and cut by the students.
