Design and build working mechanisms to solve real design problems.

Change rotary motion into linear and reciprocating motion using linkages, cam shafts, cranks and gear trains.

Students can design their own display board (like sample right) for use in the classroom or a S.T.E.M. fair with the reusable corrugated plastic board that is included.

Each class pack has materials for 10 students, each selecting three design challenges to solve, for a total of 30 class activities. Contents include: Reusable Corrugated Plastic Display Board, preprinted grid paper, gears, pulleys, cams, cardstock, Kre8- parts, design problem cards and instructions.

Teachers will need to supply glue and hand tools (such as a ruler, scissors, awl, hole punch, utility knife, etc.). Grades 6-12.
