This basic introduction to house framing kit comes with detailed drawings and layout templates to simplify the assembly of a partial shed frame. The model is built from easy to cut balsa wood. The frame sits on a foam base and students will pour the foundation using simulated cement material.
Framing includes the floor and rim joists as well as the wall studs and headers for door and window. Rafters are also cut and attached. The completed frame is 4-3/4 x 8 x 10 in. built to scale.
Kit includes balsa wood, support booklet, glue, pins and sample insulation material. Kit requires assembly and Hobby Knife or KELVIN® Balsa StiKutter™.
