Using this kit, students can build catapults in various sizes, depending on their designs. The swing arm can be up to 24 in. long. The base is 18 in. long and 2-1/2 in. wide. The kit weighs 0.8 lbs.
Students can then see which catapult is capable of launching ping pong balls the farthest or the highest. An additional challenge is to try and hit an object in the room. Includes wood, hardware, ping pong ball and instructions. Requires design, drilling, cutting and assembly. Grades 6-12
