Design It! includes a guide for each project and a special guide for implementing all of the projects. These extended projects allow for the development of basic engineering principles (such as troubleshooting and optimization), exemplify the design process and promote problem solving and creativity.
Using flexible pipe insulation, marbles, and a few other simple materials, children take on the challenges of recreating small-scale models of amusement park rides and sporting events, such as the ski jump. These are made into exciting games where children's abilities to engineer the right shapes and make the right kind of supporting structures are tested. Instructional Material, 66 Pages.
