This UPDATED Competition Hovercraft has evolved from earlier versions. Its wired power supply consists of four AA batteries (batteries not included) that provides power for a longer period of time than previous nine volt battery systems. The power supply also includes a built in on/off switch.
Background and detailed instructions affords the teacher opportunities to integrate STEM content. The activity also offers the students an opportunity to experience the design engineering process by designing, fabricating and testing the rudder system and propulsion propeller safety shield.
